Donald Glover, also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, has announced his plans to retire the moniker after releasing two final albums under the name. The American actor and rapper made the announcement during the GILGA Radio show on Sunday, which was live-streamed on his Instagram.
Glover revealed that he will release a new album titled “ATAVISTA,” which will be followed by a final Childish Gambino album that will serve as a soundtrack for his fans. “ATAVISTA” is said to be an updated version of his last studio album “3.15.20,” which was released in 2020.
The original release of “3.15.20” was a bit unconventional, as it was initially dropped on Glover’s official website before being taken down after 12 hours. The album was later made available on streaming platforms about a week later. The album features 13 tracks and includes collaborations with artists such as Ariana Grande, Kadhja Bonet, 21 Savage, and Ink.
Fans of Childish Gambino can look forward to the release of these two final albums as Glover closes this chapter of his musical career.
