China Central Radio and Television Station’s “2024 Spring Festival Gala” Branch Venues Debut in Second Rehearsal

The highly anticipated “2024 Spring Festival Gala” of China Central Radio and Television Station completed its second rehearsal on January 21st, introducing an exciting new addition to the annual event – branch venues in Shenyang, Liaoning, Changsha, Hunan, Xi’an, Shaanxi, and Kashgar, Xinjiang. For the first time, these branch venues will be co-arranged with the main venue program in Beijing, promising a fresh and dynamic experience for viewers.

At the Shenyang branch venue located in the China Industrial Museum, the fusion of Northeastern folk art and contemporary fashion aims to ignite the audience’s enthusiasm against the backdrop of ice and snow. Meanwhile, the Changsha branch, situated at the “three halls and one hall” at the intersection of the Xiangjiang River and Liuyang River, will showcase the vibrant and high-spirited style of the “City that Never Sleeps” through youthful songs. The Xi’an branch promises a national trend performance, combining Shaanxi rap, creative sleeves, drum symphony, and other art forms to recreate the poetic and magnificent scene of Chang’an, the City that Never Sleeps during the Tang Dynasty. Lastly, the Kashgar branch venue, situated in the ancient city of Kashgar, will feature performances by people of all ethnic groups, including instrumental music displays and scene interpretations, to portray the harmonious movement of the Chinese nation as a family.

The unique stage design and program creation at the branch venues showcased the rich local customs and warm New Year atmosphere during the second rehearsal, creating a wonderful and engaging experience for the audience.

The “2024 Spring Festival Gala” will continue to optimize the presentation of various programs and take full advantage of the linkage between the main venue and the four branch venues. With a focus on wonderful programs filled with life and sincere emotions, the gala aims to accompany Chinese people around the world in celebrating the Happy Chinese Year together.
