The famous director Steven Spielberg and his production company Amblin Partners have signed a cooperation agreement with Netflix. The two parties will launch a number of dramas every year. According to the terms of cooperation, Amblin Partners will continue to produce movies for Universal Pictures, where the company is located.
“At Amblin, storytelling is always at the center of everything we do. From the moment Ted Sarandos and I started discussing the partnership, it means that we have a great opportunity to tell stories and attract audiences in new ways together.” Spielberg told IndieWire’s statement said, and then he added, “This is a new way for our movies. We will continue to tell stories with our family and other partners in Universal. I can’t wait to talk to Ted, Scott and the entire Netflix team. Start the project.”
Amblin’s works have been widely acclaimed, including “Green Book” which won the Oscar for Best Picture and “1917” which won three Oscars. Netflix this time directed Saving Private Ryan, ET and Jurassic Park. The cooperation of Spielberg further strengthened the relationship between the movie and drama streaming platform and Hollywood.
