Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano today inaugurates the first major exhibition of 2024 in the Savoy residence on the outskirts of Turin from the Halls of the Arts of the Reggia di Venaria, after the great numbers of 2023, archived with 445,598 visitors in 295 days, 30% more than 2022.

Waiting for the one on JRR Tolkienauthor of Lord of the Ringsscheduled for autumn, from 29 March to 15 September the Palace hosts the masterpieces from the artistic collections of Capodimonte. Over sixty works from the Farnese and Bourbon collections which include masters such as Caravaggio, Titian, Bellini, Masaccio, Parmigianino.

The exhibition is organized thanks to the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte. «I wanted to do it a cultural marriage between Naples and Piedmont who contributed to the formation of our nation” says Sangiuliano who recalls being the architect of the upgrade of the Royal Museums, thus contributing to the increase in visitors. Among the paintings, also the beautiful «Judith beheading Holofernes» by Artemisia Gentileschi: «Here I still see the values ​​of the present today, despite it being from 1602: I see the condition of the genre, the use of the right force, the right weapon, that is, the knife that arms the meek” says Michele Briamonte, president of the Royal Residences.
