Despite the series of bankruptcies and once again last place in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), ARD is sticking to Germany’s participation in the world‘s largest music show.

“We are very happy to be there every year. And it will stay that way,” said a spokeswoman for the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR), which is responsible for ARD, on Monday of the German Press Agency.

“Germany is such a diverse, exciting and also innovative music market, so there is absolutely no reason not to compete again.”

In addition, the NDR emphasized that the final – this time live from Sweden – will also be broadcast on the first in 2024.
