Talents, professionalism and excellence back on the catwalk for the third edition of the “Learn Italy International Award”, the prize that is awarded in Rome and New York to personalities or groups that represent the best Italy at an international level. After the success of the two editions of 2020, the year celebrating its tenth anniversary, the ceremony for the 2021 edition was held in the press room of the Chamber of Deputies in the presence of journalists, TV, national and international media and with an intervention by the deputy Fuchsia Nissoli Fitzgerald, deputy in the North and Central America foreign constituency.

“I am very happy – commented Massimo Veccia, president and CEO of Learn Italy Communication USA, the agency that for over 10 years has been dealing with international training projects, but also with the promotion and communication of Italian talents and excellence in the world – that our award has become an alternating annual fixed appointment between New York and Rome. An anniversary that not only underlines the quality and importance of the winners, but also the interest that various cities are showing to host the award. A stimulus that we will collect so that the award not only serves to enhance international talents, but also the places and realities of our Italy ».

«For this edition, the third, of the award – Veccia specifies – I decided together with the jury committee to extend the award also to personalities who in recent years have established themselves on the international scene by representing Italy in the best possible way. Among them, for example, we have included a career award for Stefano D’Orazio, which will be collected by his wife Tiziana Giardoni ».

The prizes of the third edition of the ‘Learn Italy International Award’ have been assigned to the publishing group News Mediaset, thanks to the availability of the director Andrea Pucci and that of the editorial director Tgcom24 Paolo Liguori, who received the award, to Claudio Pagliara, journalist and correspondent Rai in New York, to Luciano Fontana, director of the Corriere della Sera, to Piero Armenti, blogger, writer and founder of “My Journey to New York”.

The ceremony was also an opportunity to present the various projects that Learn Italy is starting and consolidating in this period and which see the return of the courses in the presence of Learn Italy in the USA, thanks also to the decision of Joe Biden’s administration. to remove the travel ban that prevented the access of a number of people coming, among other things, from Italy.

“The choice of the American administration – underlines Veccia – was very important because the ban had become a trap that threatened to permanently block transnational activities between Italy and the US for us, for young people and for Italian excellence, it reopens a fundamental channel for promoting our country in the United States. With Learn Italy we will continue to do our part as in all these years, and we will also do it in a more structured way precisely to offer concrete support for those realities that want to open up to New York and from there to the American world ». «I am also very happy – he adds – to announce our entry into the family of the Italy-US Chamber of Commerce in New York as a catalyst for talents and excellence. A milestone that represents a further, fundamental step in strengthening and consolidating our work as a bridge between the two nations. I am sure that with the Chamber and with the President Alberto Milani, we will really be able to organize a series of projects aimed at the full and effective relaunch of relations, commercial but not limited to, between Italy and the USA ». “Projects that – assures Veccia – will certainly also pass from the relaunch of cultural tourism especially in Southern Italy thanks to the central role of our Learn Italy Napoli office which is the reference point for the Mediterranean area and with which we are already working to to combine education, culture and food and wine in exclusive and one-of-a-kind packages ». Alongside this, he reiterates, “we will continue the projects already begun also with Dario Silvestri, entrepreneur, mentor and performance coach of international fame, with whom Learn Italy is already planning a series of events and activities that will affect not only Italy but also the USA “.
