Maximiliano Olocco returns to management

Almost a month after confirming the resignation of Hadrian Avila Arzuza as director, the Teatro del Libertador San Martín finally has a new name designated.

This is Maximiliano Olocco, a producer with an outstanding career within the national and international sphere.

Let us remember that Olocco was already in charge of the Libertador as director between 2016 and 2020, just before the arrival of Ávila Arzuza. It was a very important period, since it was the moment in which the historic restoration of the maximum Cordoban coliseum was carried out.

Olocco was closely linked to the prestigious ProArte Foundation, of which he was artistic producer and manager of the concert cycles from 1996 to 2023.

In addition, he was the creator and manager of the remembered “Monday of the Voice” cycle, which took place for more than a decade in the Carlos Ortiz auditorium with all types of musical and artistic expressions, prioritizing local artists.

As an independent producer he has made more than 400 productions with artists from abroad, both in the Libertador, the Teatro Real, Ciudad de las Artes and even the Orfeo Superdomo as well as in theaters abroad. In addition, he has more than 500 productions with local artists to his credit.

Olocco comes from a family traditionally linked to the dissemination of classical music and jazz, with a strong link with some of the most relevant musicians of recent times in those genres and also in folklore and tango, with a history of having formed part of the historic family business of the Olocco record stores.

New authorities at the Córdoba Culture Agency

Along with the appointment of Olocco, two members were appointed to the Córdoba Culture Agency, positions that had remained vacant after two recent departures.

One is Francisco “Pancho” Marchiaro, another cultural manager with an important career in Córdoba. Marchiaro is also a teacher and graduate in cultural policy and administration, as well as a disseminator of topics related to creation, communication and contemporary art.

He was Secretary of Culture of the city of Córdoba for several years and was also in charge of the España Córdoba Cultural Center. He currently carries out the academic coordination of the Contemporary Culture Institute.

The other person designated as the new member of the Agency is Daniel Delbono, who served as mayor of Pasco until 2023 and has no notable career in the artistic field.
