Mizuno, a leading sports brand, has announced their first-ever collaboration with popular Japanese illustrator and graphic designer Hiroshi Nagai to create a new joint shoe collection. This exciting partnership blends Mizuno’s expertise in shoe design with Nagai’s unique artistic style and world view.
The collaboration features three popular Mizuno shoe models: Wave Rider β, WAVE PROPHECY LS, and Wave Mujin TL, each transformed into new co-branded shoes that reflect Nagai’s signature aesthetic. The Wave Rider β boasts a gradient royal blue tone as its main focus, with touches of light gray suede and a khaki midsole. WAVE PROPHECY LS is centered around an off-white base, accented with green, yellow, and blue hues inspired by Nagai’s artwork. The Wave Mujin TL showcases a black leather upper adorned with the iconic rose pattern from Nagai’s famous work “HALATION.”
