Sales in SME retailers suffered a notable drop of 25.5% year-on-year in February, according to the latest report from the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME). This decline, added to the 7.4% decline compared to January, reflected a worrying outlook for the sector. The most affected items were perfumeries, with a decline of 40.9%, while only textiles and clothing showed a slight increase of 3.5% year-on-year.

This data reinforced the seriousness of the financial situation and the need to implement measures that promote economic recovery.

Faced with this complex scenario, retailers are looking for strategies to face the crisis and keep their businesses afloat. However, Uncertainty persists and it is expected that the authorities will take measures that provide relief to the sector and promote economic reactivation in the short term.
