Web Desk: The National Assembly has elected Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the president of Muslim League-N, as the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time, taking over the seat of the 16th Leader of the House.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq while announcing the results of the election for the Prime Minister said that Shahbaz Sharif was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan with 201 votes.
Against him, Sunni Ittehad Council candidate Umar Ayub Khan got 92 votes.

Shahbaz Sharif was the candidate for the post of Prime Minister on behalf of the ruling alliance while his opponent was Umar Ayub Khan of the Sunni Alliance Council.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq announced the election of Shahbaz Sharif as Leader of the House and Prime Minister of Pakistan.
