The French carmaker reported a net profit of 368 million in the half year from a loss of 7.4 billion recorded last year and gave guidance, for the first time this year, by forecasting an operating margin for the full year. in the same order of 2.8% achieved in the first half, below the more long-term objectives.

The results are the fruit of Renault’s strategy “focused on profitability”, said CEO Luca de Meo, adding that “they are only the first step in our breakthrough, which should accelerate with the arrival of new vehicles in preparation”.
