On the evening of December 18, 2021, Shen Yun North American Performing Arts performed its first performance at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in South Carolina, leading the audience to experience a magical cultural journey.
The Charleston audience was full of praise for the performance that night, saying that the message conveyed by Shen Yun’s performance was “inspiring” and “experienced the hope that God brought.”
Charleston is a coastal city in South Carolina, USA. In the 17th and 18th centuries, it was the fifth largest city in North America after Philadelphia, New York, Boston, and Quebec. Entrepreneur, think tank director: Shen Yun dancers have extraordinary accomplishments
“Dancers are excellent, and their skills are very comprehensive!” “Dancing skills are top-notch and performance is a spectacle!” American think tank directors and senior real estate developers Tom Graham and his wife Bonnie Holman praised after watching Shen Yun.
As the core dance of Shen Yun’s performance, Graham is most attracted to it. He said, “I like the performance (of dancers). There are physical performances and uniform coordination. The performance is smooth and pleasant.”
He praised again and again, “The dancers are quite accomplished and excellent. They are so coordinated, their dance skills are very comprehensive, and the (movements) are very well done. I appreciate it.”

Holman, sitting in the front row, was moved by the sincerity of the Shen Yun artists: “I like their smiles. I can see that they are very focused. (Their sincerity) is extremely impressive.” “I can feel them. I really like what they do. They are such a lovely group of young people.”
What moved Holman in particular was the dance drama that showed Falun Gong practitioners’ adherence to their beliefs in the fight against persecution: “The show shows what happened in China, (the story) is very sad. But I am very happy that the show contains such content, ( It’s good for the audience to understand it, and it’s good for the (truth) to spread.”
Holman, who has admired Shen Yun for a long time, said with a sigh, “I want to come every year, but I haven’t been able to come. This is the first time for us to come. The performance is a spectacle, it’s really great. I like all the gorgeous shows! “
Graham added with a smile: “It’s really nice to come here to participate and experience (this experience).”
Tom Graham is a member of the board of directors of the 75-year-old American think tank Foundation for Economic Education (FEE). He is also a senior real estate developer and entrepreneur in South Carolina. For the past 20 years, he has worked with his two sons to develop the traditional I’On community in Mount Pleasant; he is also the main owner of the community club The I’On Club, LLC.

That night, CEO Jean Koch and husband Tom Koch watched Shen Yun for the first time and praised the beauty of Shen Yun’s performance. Jean said, “People all over the world should come to understand Shen Yun.”
She admired the profound artistic accomplishments of Shen Yun’s artists, and thought that Shen Yun’s mission of rejuvenating traditional Chinese culture was “extraordinary”!
“It is absolutely wonderful to see her and experience it,” she said. “It is absolutely amazing! We enjoy every minute of the show. The dance is amazing, and the costumes and choreography are excellent.”
Shen Yun’s Chinese classical dance is accompanied by a high-tech three-dimensional dynamic canopy, which fully interprets the various characters in the five thousand years of Chinese cultural heritage. “The canopy in the performance is incredibly beautiful!” she said.

Ms. Tumbling is the founder of a non-profit organization in Charleston and an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the South Carolina School of Medicine. Her husband, Bruce White, who works as the dean of a nursing home, gave her a Shen Yun ticket as a birthday present. And this birthday present brought her a surprise.
“I love this performance. The message conveyed by the performance is the hope of God!” Tumbling said after watching the performance. She also said that she realized this hope from every show and every detail in the performance.
Tumbling loves the phoenix dance the most. She said that the blue background in the dance sky is “heaven”, and the actresses on the stage are “fairies”. She said, “The scene is so beautiful and amazing!”
Mr. Bruce said that the performance brought hope to human beings in trouble. He said: “After experiencing the CCP virus epidemic, (people) are facing many challenges. When we see bad news every day, (to be) able to see this performance and get the message she delivered is really exciting.
