ROME – The expansion of the Telepass group on the markets of the Old Continent continues at full speed. The company has just announced that it has been certified for access to the national electronic toll collection system e-Toll in Poland.

The Telepass Sat device, based on satellite positioning technology, was therefore certified for the Polish national service e-Toll, on the sections of roads managed by the Polish National Roads and Motorways Directorate General. The Telepass device will be available shortly through the various sales partners, and the certification obtained represents the green light for expansion on a strategic market like that of Poland, a new step that allows you to reach a total of 14 European countries covered by the service. of electronic toll collection dedicated to heavy vehicles.

The interoperable Telepass Sat device is already active in Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Switzerland and Bulgaria, and can currently be used in Poland only in the Krakow-Katowice section of the A4 motorway. Thanks to the recently obtained certification, the device, of which over 10 million units have already been distributed in Europe, can be used to pay tolls for heavy vehicles over 3.5 tons on 3,660 km of Polish motorways.
