The trends that mark office renovation

The post-pandemic accelerated the reconversion of work spaces that was already suggested before Covid-19. As a main trend, today companies are turning to more modern office spaces to recreate the comfort that employees enjoyed at home during the confinement stage. In addition, they seek to provide superior experiences that justify the transfer to the workplace.

Thus, elements such as artificial intelligence (AI) that understand daily routines and work habits, intelligent software that predicts energy consumption and amenities such as multimedia rooms designed for video calls are increasingly being incorporated. Those technologies are set to make the space’s performance on that task superior to what people get at home amid the rise of hybrid work.

“To meet the objective of an office being innovative and truly at the service of the teams and employee interactions, it is key that the space is tailored to them. There are three important aspects to take into account: firstly, a varied offer of types of workspace, with concentration places, formal and informal meeting rooms and collaborative locations. On the other hand, it is essential that there are technological connections that support the hybrid work modality and that the design accompanies the sense of innovation and transmits the culture and identity of the company,”

said architect Vanesa Hesse.

Coworking, another option

Coworking predates the pandemic, but after Covid-19 the market focused on this offer was consolidated and professionalized. In this context, the most recent development in the matter was provided by Host Coworking, which opened the doors of its second headquarters in the northern area of the city of Córdoba at the end of December 2023. Located at 3447 Cordillera Avenue (Cerro Chico), the new facilities have 75 jobs and top-level amenities that differentiate the market offering.

In a space of 1,500 square meters, the coworking offers disruptive services, such as a multimedia room for use by influencers and producers, a relaxation room and flexible work areas that adapt to the different needs of its clients, among which are corporations. , companies and freelancers.

“Since we inaugurated the first Coworking Host, the market has been evolving, strengthening paradigm changes in the ways of working and living. “People spend six or more hours of their lives working, and the space where they do their work has to provide the right conditions to promote well-being and productivity,”

pointed out Ignacio Etchepare and Sebastián Scholz, partners of the firm.

Although the place is designed for various audiences, managers estimate that companies and corporations will be the main clients. This trend (which has already been manifesting) will probably intensify over the years, even more so in a context of economic crisis in which companies seek to reduce costs and improve profitability.
