The Barrios de Pie organization announced the call for a day of one million signatures for the food emergency law and the preparation of a “federal march against hunger”, which It will coincide with the meeting that Javier Milei will hold with the governors in Córdoba, for the signing of the “May Pact.”

These decisions arose after the holding of a “Forum for a new emergency law and food sovereignty”, in which various social, political and religious sectors participated. The representative of Barrios de Pie, Norma Morales, highlighted the importance of eradicating hunger in Argentina nowannounced the concentration of all the country’s soup kitchens in Córdoba during Milei’s meeting with the governors.

For his part, the general coordinator of Barrios de Pie, Daniel Menéndez, pointed out the absence of the social agenda in the president’s speech and highlighted the need to address the problem of hunger, especially in a context of devaluation and economic adjustment.

Prominent figures participated in the forum such as national deputy Facundo Manes, the Minister of Social Development of Córdoba Liliana Montero, former officials and representatives of various social and religious organizations.
