The Ministry of University and Research has published the dates of the admission tests to the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs with scheduled access at national level for the academic year 2022/2023. The tests of Medicine, Dentistry, Medicine in English, Primary Education, Veterinary and Health Professions will be held on a single date throughout Italy. For courses aimed at training as an Architect (Architecture), on the other hand, the calendar of tests will be defined by each university with its own announcement but must be completed by a specific date. It begins with Medicine and Dentistry, on September 6 Primary Education Sciences (September 20) and Architecture (by September 23) close.

– Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics in Italian: Tuesday 6 September 2022;

Available places and contents of the tests: the decree is expected
At the same time, the MUR communicated that the procedures, the contents of the tests and the number of places available for enrollment will be defined with subsequent decrees. Everything is silent, therefore, on the operational details. However, in recent weeks something has leaked, especially on the Medicine test: the latest rumors speak of some changes to the structure of the test as early as next September. The same minister Mass recently declared that “The test of September 2022 will still be very similar to that of previous years: it will be in person and on paper, but with some adjustments”. She adding: “The part of the questions of general knowledge will be reduced, those of logical reasoning remain, the rest will be disciplinary.”
Medicine test, from 2023 everything changes
These changes, however, are part of a broader revision of the mechanism for access to Medicine – as recently approved by the Education Commission of the Chamber – which provides for an increase of about 10%, starting from the next academic year, in the number of places available. . Then, from 2023, the most relevant changes: the admission tests will become a real path – with preparation courses and the publication of official training materials – starting as early as the fourth year of high school, which will culminate with an online test that it can, if necessary, be repeated in order to be able to compete for the selection with the best result.
