With goals from Messi and Suárez, Inter Miami tied 2-2 against Nashville for the Concacaf Champions

The Rosario star Lionel Messi scored a goal this Thursday in his debut in the Concacaf Champions with Inter Miami of the United States.

His team had a difficult night but ended up drawing 2-2 against Nashville, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the competition.

The goals of “Tata” Martino’s team were scored by Messi himself and the Uruguayan Luis Suárez on the hour mark, for definitive equality.

The second leg will be played in Miami on Wednesday the 13th.

The Concacaf Champions Cup, popularly known as “Concachampions”, is the highest football club competition organized by the Football Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean.

The winner of the contest participates as champion as a representative of the area in the FIFA Club World Cup and also the champion and runner-up of the same will compete in the Inter-American Cup against the winner and runner-up of the Copa Libertadores de América.

The top winner of the contest is Club América from Mexico with seven championships.
