[Epoch Times November 05, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Ma Weifen reported) The new film “God of Movies” directed by the famous Japanese director Yoji Yamada, includes the “Japanese Oscar Actor” Sugata Masaaki, and successively won the “Japanese Drama Academy” Nagano Nagano, Kitagawa Keiko, and “Oscar Queen of Japan” Nobuko Miyamoto and “Berlin Shadow Queen” Terajima Shinobu, who played after watching the show, joined forces in their acting skills.

In particular, Nobuko Miyamoto and Shinobu Terajima became the subject of interpreting mother and daughter. In the film, in the face of a father who is addicted to gambling and alcohol, and who only reaches out to beg for money with a debt, the daughter and mother try every means to decide to cut off all opportunities for father to get money. The process is gimmicky.

Nobuko Miyamoto played the role of a wife who patiently supported her husband’s dreams. She also said with emotion: “Although a lot of things happened in the process, it’s great to be able to complete the work like this.” Especially this is her success in 1971. After “Bitter Life and Pure Love”, after 50 years, I will cooperate with Yamada Yoji.

She also recalled the situation of meeting the director again: “50 years are really long. When we first met, we put on masks and hugged each other for a while.” Director Yamada also laughed and said, “50 years have passed. Now, she was still a lovely girl at the time.”

As for Terashima Shinobu, who interprets the role of her daughter in the film, she also interprets the contradictions of being a daughter when faced with a father who loves gambling and is heavily in debt. In order to keep her family from being separated, she worked hard, and she seemed to be the head of the family. She often made irresponsible remarks to her family, and even joined hands with her mother to cut off his father’s habit of spending money.

In Terajima’s 30-year career as an actor, this was her first performance of Yamada Yoji’s work. She exquisitely demonstrated the problem of inheriting the parent-child relationship between two generations, making the director very happy to entrust her with the role of her daughter.

The plot of the film depicts a town that is addicted to gambling, alcoholism and debts (played by Kenji Sawada/Masaki Sugata). The old man only has movies to love. Faced with disappointed family members confiscating all his belongings and not allowing him to splurge at will, he hid in the community theater run by his former studio work partner Terashin (Minoru Kobayashi∕Yojiro Noda). He did not expect to fall into his youth. In the old dream of the movie that I love.

It turned out that he used to be an assistant to a famous director, and met the temperamental actress Yuanko (played by Kitagawa Keiko), and even fell in love with the lady who works in the cafeteria (Nagano Meayu / Nobuko Miyamoto) with Tera Shin. When the township finally had the opportunity to make his own movie, an accident turned the opportunity into vain. It wasn’t until half a century later that the script that was going to be shot at the beginning appeared before the eyes of the elderly village again, and also rewritten his unfinished film dream…

The “God of Movies” will also be released in Taiwan on November 26.
