In the midst of entertainment, technology finds space to be used in activities such as medicine. This is the case of the Apple Vision Pro, the glasses that have caused different reactions among users.
Since it was launched in the United States, these new Apple glasses attracted attention for video game use. Even videos of people walking while wearing the glasses went viral.
However, the technological product found its place in medicine when it was used during surgery at the private Cromwell hospital in London (United Kingdom), the DailyMail newspaper reported.
The operation was performed on a male patient. It was an intervention on the spine. Part of the glasses’ functions were to monitor the surgery and choose the appropriate medical instruments.
The person who used the glasses was the scrub nurse Suvi Verho. While she saw the real world through the glasses, vital patient information was also displayed on the screens.
At the end, he indicated that this technology “eliminates human error and uncertainty, providing confidence during surgery.”
From what is known about this device, its three-dimensional user interface has stood out. Plus, it features a next-generation chipset, VisionOS operating system, and eye, hand, and voice control.
