How the Crosswave X7 Pet Pro is made

Inside the package we find the Crosswave, one charging base and cleaning, the power supply and a bottle of the standard scrubber to use if you want not only to vacuum, but also to wash. The basic operation is very simple: you load the detergent diluted in water into the tank, turn on the device and you can gradually decide whether to vacuum only or whether to wet the brush to wash the floor and then go over it to dry it. If desired, it is also possible to choose between more suction intensities, in case you are passing over a carpet and want to remove some particularly stubborn crumbs.

In itself it is all very simple, but if you want, there are videos that will help you understand how to move once the box is open, and the Crosswave X7 Plus does what it promises: it sucks up anything without problems and at the same time allows you to keep the floor clean, in turn self-cleaning at the end of the cycle. However, there are a few things that make it a great product, but with some shadows.

First, the tank capacity where dirty water and residues end up: it is too small, if you have a house of about 70 square meters you will have to stop at least a couple of times to empty and refill the tank. This is because the Crosswave X7 is meant to always use clean water only, which is a good thing, but given the limited tank capacities, it leads to frequent refills and stops. Furthermore, the filter in which all the solid residues remain is sometimes not easy to extract and it can happen to get dirty to empty or clean it.

Also keep in mind that washing the floor with this type of device requires a minimum of habit, because it is important always go straight when we hold the trigger for the waterotherwise there is a risk of both leaving residues in curves and drying the floor with a series of streaks. Poor handling is in general a problem in the case of corners or spaces to pass under, because the dimensions of the device will not allow you to do it in depth. All of those are missing too accessories you normally find in a Dysonbut because they are quite different products in approach: one is a kind of industrial washer-dryer, the other is just a vacuum cleaner.

After each session it is essential to reposition the Bissel X7 on the base and start the self-cleaning cycle of the device, which lasts a few seconds and consumes some water. Normally only one cycle is enough, unless you have decided to suck up something particularly difficult to send away, like ice cream or a sauce, but in that case it is better to clean by hand and then wash. After that, it is obviously best to empty the remaining water tank, unless you want to use it shortly after.

The price / performance ratio

As for the products, Bissel has its own line with various detergents suitable for various types of surfaces and using any substitutes invalidates the warranty and therefore risks compromising any repairs. Every one liter bottle costs 15 euros and will last about 15 washes.

Removed these drawbacks, which are also partly linked to the fact that we are not used to this type of device, the Crosswave X7 is an object that allows you to clean and wash the floor at once without any problem, greatly speeding up the housework once you get used to its use.

The version we tried was specifically designed for pet owners, and in this case the suction power is the secret weapon to make that new carpet on which (maybe) the dog has decided to lie down every day, but also to vacuum the croquettes that he leaves near the bowl or the litter that a cat leaves around after doing his business, not to mention that on rainy days you can peacefully walk over the muddy footprints that plague the house. Maybe do two cleaning cycles later, just to be safe.

Under the right conditions, despite having sacrificed versatility in the name of one very specific specialization, the Bissel Crosswave X7 can truly change the way housework is done. Obviously, both for the base and for the dimensions, and also for the price (about 400 euros)it is not suitable for all homes and all families, but if you have pets and a home that takes a long time to clean due to the size of rooms and floors, getting one could be the turnaround for spending less time cleaning and more time to do what you like.
