Over 350 thousand people in Italy are affected by various forms of cardiomyopathy according to the first Italian report on this pathology. This is why a “road map” has been drawn up, a series of objectives to be achieved to improve the treatment and assistance path for patients affected by cardiomyopathy. All these measures, in addition to saving lives, could have the aim of reducing public spending: according to estimates, hospitalizations due to cardiomyopathy cost the NHS around 650 million euros a year.
