As announced, this morning along the Via Milano in Cavatigozzi, the works for the construction of a roundabout at the height of the gym began. An infrastructure that aims to give greater security and which is part of the interventions “Strade Sicure”, co-financed by the Lombardy Region, also including speed moderation measures in via Sesto, near the Roncacesa farmhouse, cycle path in via Giuseppina and related safety measures for three pedestrian crossings.
The first phase of the works in via Milano concerns the area in front of street number 36A, on the side of via Grassi, to prepare one of the two side lanes of the roundabout. The opening of the Cavatigozzi cycle path is expected to close with a detour to and from via Grassi.
The second phase will involve the preparation of the cycle path via Milano. In addition to the closure of the outlet of the Cavatigozzi cycle path, there will be a narrowing of the carriageway with a temporary traffic light system and vertical and horizontal signs on both directions.
