It’s a HUGE day in Disneyland, friends!

For months now, we’ve been so excited to see how Paradise Pier Hotel would become Pixar Place Hotel, the first hotel in the United States to be fully themed to Pixar. One of the dining spots inside the hotel opened early, but now the whole hotel has opened, and we got a first look!

As of, January 30th, 2024, the Pixar Place Hotel has officially opened! The reimagining of the hotel will “weave the artistry of Pixar into its comfortable, contemporary setting,” according to Disney, and we’ve been so excited.

We got a big surprise at the grand opening to see Lightning McQueen…

… and Mater greeting us as we arrived!

Couldn’t be here without our best friends!

We were invited by Disney to check out this new hotel in its entirety and show you around. So without further ado, let’s go exploring!

Outside

Before you even step into the hotel, you’ll notice the unique design of the building right down to the entrance!

And once you step into the hotel, you’ll notice the theming continues into the lobby!

The lobby

We’ve been able to step into the lobby for a little while now, and we love getting to see the phenomenal mural dedicated to Finding Nemo.

Behind the check-in desk, you’ll also find great Cars artwork.

We also noticed the gift shop being successfully rethemed a few weeks ago!

Inside, you’ll find tons of different Pixar merchandise you and your family can have a great time going through.

So much merchandise!

Stepping out into the lobby and hallways you’ll be greeted by even more Pixar pals like Mei Ling from Turning Red!

There’s even framed screen captures from the films!

The central lobby of the hotel features the iconic Pixar ball and lamp!

We even caught a glimpse of Joe Gardner from Soul, when he played us some sweet jazz tunes!

Restaurants

You can also stop in for a bite to eat at The Sketch Pad Cafe.

In the meantime though, seriously, how adorable are these rooms?! The sleek, clean lines and the attention to detail throughout are not to be missed!

Pools

It’s not a Disney hotel if you can’t go swimming in an immaculately themed pool, and the Pixar Place Hotel understood the assignment.

Look how modern and sophisticated it looks with the bright blue against all the red hues in the umbrellas! An Edna Mode touch, we’re sure! There are plenty of places to hang out here as well.
