Children who fall ill with Covid, in addition to developing interstitial pneumonia and a multisystem inflammatory syndrome, include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain among the most common symptoms, which in one out of ten cases turn into serious gastrointestinal problems, leading to to admissions to intensive care even more than one month after infection.
