The Bondeno-Dillingen Cultural Exchange Continues to Strengthen Friendship
In a display of the enduring friendship between Bondeno and Dillingen, fourteen young German students are currently being hosted by their Italian counterparts at the “Carducci” Scientific High School in Bondeno. The cultural exchange program, which has become a tradition between the two cities, aims to foster mutual understanding and friendship among the students.
During their week-long stay in Bondeno, the German students have been immersed in various cultural activities and experiences. They have visited important cities of art such as Ferrara, Ravenna, and Padua, participated in English lessons with a focus on IT, and engaged in socialization activities organized by the school and host families.
A highlight of the exchange program was the day spent exploring the Matildean territory, including a visit to the Town Hall where they were warmly welcomed by the mayor, Simone Saletti, and the councilor for youth policies, Francesca Aria Poltronieri. The students also had the opportunity to explore the Civic and Archaeological Museum “G. Ferraresi” in Stellata on pedal-assisted bicycles, immersing themselves in the history and origins of Bondeno.
According to Saletti and Poltronieri, the exchange program provides a valuable and educational experience for both the German and Italian students, allowing them to establish new friendships, deepen their understanding of different cultures, and improve their English language skills through dialogue with their peers.
The ongoing cultural exchange between the high schools of Bondeno and Dillingen continues to strengthen the bond between the two cities and create lasting memories for the participating students. It is a testament to the power of friendship and cultural exchange in bringing people together across borders.
