Anticipating and refining the diagnosis of diabetes, the first signs of which can appear up to 10 years before the onset of the disease. Today, to do this, artificial intelligence (Ai) also takes the field, which in the future will be able to increasingly support doctors and health professionals with valid support. A US research conducted by the National Institutes NIH and the Department of Radiology of the University of Wisconsin provides a first proof of how AI systems, applied to the analysis of abdominal CT, allow to recognize early alterations associated with diabetes.
