A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Nicosia has revealed the best exercise for achieving a flat abdomen in just 10 minutes a day. The exercise, known as HITT (high intensity interval training), consists of short and intense exercises that have been found to be effective in reducing abdominal fat and toning the abdominal area.

The study, published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness, involved 23 participants who were divided into two groups. One group followed a normal gym training routine for four days a week, while the other group combined HITT with traditional physical activity for two days a week.

Results showed that both groups experienced a reduction in total body fat and visceral adiposity, but those who combined HITT with regular exercise saw a greater reduction in abdominal fat. The participants in this group also experienced a significant decrease in abdominal circumference and visceral adiposity compared to those who only did traditional training.

Furthermore, the study found that HIIT training is beneficial for individuals looking to improve their physical condition in a short amount of time. This type of exercise activates 80-95% of the maximum heart rate, leading to the breakdown of fat reserves and carbohydrates for energy.

In a HIIT routine, exercises such as short runs, jumping rope, exercise bike, jump squats, burpees, and weight lifting can be performed. Overall, the study highlights the effectiveness of HITT for achieving a flat abdomen and improving overall health and fitness.
