Donations and transplants: 10% more in 2021. Italy returns to pre-Covid levels

by admin

Good news on the subject of transplants. Organ, tissue and cell donations and transplants have returned to pre-pandemic levels. The data emerges from the 2021 report of the National Transplant Center, which draws an extremely positive balance of the year just ended. After the slowdown in 2020, when the impact of the first wave of Covid had led to an overall decline of 10%, in 2021 the Transplant Network managed to reorganize its business in the new context of the emergency and to recover completely, marking a + 12.1% for organ donations and 9.9% for transplants.
