Dystonia, a treatable but still too little known disease

Dystonia is a rare and little-known neurological disease. The diagnosis is often difficult, because it causes muscular problems that can easily be mistaken for other disorders, and which must instead be evaluated by an expert neurologist to be recognized and treated correctly. Also for this reason, too many people unknowingly live with dystonia, and therefore do not receive the therapies that could solve, or at least alleviate, their problem.
