Farewell to Over 100 Sixth-Year Medicine Students at Chuvi Hospital

Yesterday, more than 100 sixth-year Medicine students bid farewell to Chuvi, as they completed their final year of undergraduate studies in the health area of Vigo. The Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital hosted a special farewell event for the students who had been assigned to the Vigo hospital center for their practical course.

Throughout their time at the hospital, the students were able to participate in a teaching program that involved rotating through various medical and surgical specialties. This hands-on experience allowed them to work on seven different subjects including medical clinic, surgical clinic, emergency and central services, obstetric and gynecology clinic, pediatric, psychiatric, and family and community medicine.

In addition to their rotations, the students also had the opportunity to develop their skills through on-call shifts. The academic year was supported by 28 associate professors and over 700 collaborators who were instrumental in training the future healthcare professionals of Galicia.

The farewell event not only marked the end of a significant chapter in the students’ medical education but also served as a reminder of the valuable experiences and knowledge they gained during their time at Chuvi. The students expressed their gratitude to the hospital staff and professors for their guidance and support throughout the year.
