Before the two cycles, all subjects had their blood pressure and blood values ​​checked. For the duration of the observation, these people exercised regularly and followed a regular diet.

This study found that salmon consumption led to a reduction in mean blood pressure, triglycerides and cholesterol. Triglycerides and cholesterol dropped by as much as 15% and blood pressure also dropped significantly. The latter figure leads to a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular diseases by as much as 25%.
