Let’s find out what it is in this article.

Because the skin may become irritated

Generally, the skin could suffer a lot under the mask and get irritated easily, even more so if we have sensitive and delicate skin.

The irritation would be the consequence of two common problems of the wearer:

  • rubbing the mask on the cheeks and nose which, attacked by this foreign material, could react by reddening;
  • the “microclimate” that would be created inside the mask, hotter and more humid due to sweat and our breath.

However, we could get rid of redness, itching and, in general, mask irritation, with a product that should be used morning and evening.

This should be able to remove traces of pollution and impurities from the surface of the skin, soothe it, refresh it and remove make-up in one step. In order to treat and protect her daily, day and night, before and after wearing the mask. But, then, what is it about?

Micellar water

The ideal product to counteract mask irritations would therefore be a cleanser and in particular we are talking about micellar water.

This is a water-based solution that contains micelles or spherical-shaped molecules capable of incorporating impurities, sebum, sweat and make-up present on the skin of the face. These are then transported away and eliminated thanks to the water.

Usually, then, inside the micellar water there could also be an oily component that would guarantee hydration to the skin. And finally, this cleanser would protect the skin thanks to its PH equal to that of the skin, preventing any irritation.

We could therefore say that micellar water would be able to cleanse the skin, remove make-up, hydrate it, soothe it, protect it and cure it from irritation.

However, before buying and using it, it is always recommended to consult your doctor, since every situation is different and you cannot generalize.

How to use it

We can pour a little micellar water on a cotton ball and gently pass it all over the face, including the eyes, and then rinse.

This procedure should be repeated twice:

  • In the morning to remove any excess sebum produced during the night and any dust that could deposit;
  • In the evening to remove make-up from the skin and remove environmental impurities and those that would accumulate under the mask.
