(ANSA) – NAPLES, JULY 10 – Mayor Marco Antonio Del Prete will inaugurate, at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 12 July, the new inclusive park of Frattamaggiore (Naples), a redeveloped structure with funds from the Metropolitan City of Naples and of the Ministry which will be placed at the service of children and families. The park, named after Robert Baden Powell, founder of scouting, has two mini football and basketball pitches, an inclusive play area and an area for 4-legged friends.
“I made a commitment to redevelop the house making it as inclusive as possible two years ago – declares the mayor – when, together with our boys and the many families present, we decided to install a yellow bench, a symbol of the fight against bullying, close to the entrances to the Marconi and Capasso schools. Bullying can also be fought like this: by telling our kids about the richness that comes from diversity”. At the event, in addition to the leaders of the N17 area and the local associations, also the presence of the “Battle of Andrea”, an association wanted and invited directly by the mayor. “Finally another inclusive playground – declares Asia Maraucci, president of ‘La Battaglia di Andrea’ – we thank Mayor Del Prete for inviting us to cut the ribbon with him, we will do many other things together”. “We want – says the mayor – to make the city livable for everyone: together with ‘La Battaglia di Andrea’ and other local associations we will address other issues to make our city even more inclusive”. Among the guests, also the Leo Club of Frattamaggiore, which, representing the Northern Area Clubs of District 108 YA, donated to the Community of Fratta a “plastic-eating fish”, a bottle collector to keep the park clean and raise awareness among all on the issue of plastic in the seas and in the environment.
