In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a public health body, reported that cases of ivermectin poisoning have quintupled compared to before the pandemic. In fact, the pesticide, if taken in high doses, is very toxic to humans.
“You are not horses”
The use of this drug, according to the CDC, increased 28 times in August compared to prepandemic levels. At the same time, reports of poisoning or hospitalizations for side effects have grown. A problem that prompted the Food and Drug Administration to launch an appeal on Twitter, very unusual: «You are not horses. You are not cows. Seriously, everyone. The effects of overdose
Today the drug is used in humans only in very specific cases (for example the onchocerciasis or “river blindness”), but in the States there are those who take the drug for veterinary use, with very high and, in fact, toxic dosages. «The clinical effects of ivermectin overdose include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea – write the CDC -. Overdose is associated with hypotension and neurological effects such as decreased consciousness, confusion, hallucinations, convulsions, coma and death. Among the therapies cited by no-vax as opposed to vaccines there is also colchicine, an anti-inflammatory, for which, according to the guidelines of the CDC, there is no evidence of efficacy for non-hospitalized patients, and the most famous chloroquine. , already rejected by clinical trials around the world.
