Medicine, Bicocca overtaking: over 4,000 in the running For Statale 3,362 preferences. And economy “pulls”

3,362 will be hunting for one of the 457 places in the historic Faculty of Medicine of the State of Milan (seven are reserved for non-EU students residing abroad). For the first time there was overtaking: a record for Bicocca with 4,025 students (3,842 for Medicine and Surgery and 183 for Dentistry) who indicated it as the first choice. Over 700 more than last year, double compared to 2019.

The icebreaker in the next round of tests will be Veterinary at the State on September 1st. There will be 1,047 seats in via Celoria, 88 places available that have remained unchanged compared to last year. The tests will also be held this year not in the chosen location but in the one closest to home to minimize travel during the pandemic. Last year, 1,218 applications for registration were received. On 3 September it’s up to Medicine and Surgery both in Bicocca and in Statale (which will see 2,101 Milanese students, 1,519 females and 582 males seated among its desks); on 9 September Medicine in English for 45 places available plus 25 reserved for non-EU citizens residing abroad (last year there were 44 plus 16). Registration for health professions is still open – until 26 August: for the Statale the test will be held in via Celoria 26 and via Festa del Perdono 7 for 1,423 places plus 25 reserved for non-EU students and four reserved for students of the Marco program Polo shirt. Last year they were 1,406 with 4,594 enrolled in the test.

In Milan, overall, there are 1,270 places for Medicine and Surgery between Bicocca, Statale, Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and Humanitas University. Numbers destined to increase further. Universities have said they are available (at the national level they are currently 7% more). Meanwhile, enrollments also continue for the internal self-assessment tests of individual universities. The University of Milan has already received 22,355 applications. And there is the confirmation of one of the most popular courses: for Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures there are 2,594 requests to date.
