The building will be built on a plot of 19 thousand square meters granted by the Municipality to the Local Health Authority. There is also a blood sampling point and various clinics, a clinic, a youth space and a family center. 15 beds are planned to accommodate chronically ill people who need periodic care or citizens who need rehabilitation
April 8, 2024 – Un single point of reference for socio-health servicesi territoriala hub capable of hosting both the Community house, is the community hospital: will arise in the northern area of Vignola (Mo), between the ring road and the road to Sassuolo.
The intervention – supported by the Territorial Social and Health Conference – has an overall value of over 11.5 million euros (7.5 million for the community house and 4 for the community hospital), financed with the Pnrr and state funds also to cover the increase in material prices. Work will begin by April: completion is expected at the end of 2025, the opening of the two facilities in March 2026.
Today at 6pmin the hall of the Civil Protection of Vignolaadjacent to the land where the structures will be built, the project will be illustrated. The president of the Emilia-Romagna Region will participate, Stefano Bonaccinithe mayor of Vignola and president of the Terre di Castelli Union, Emilia Muratoriand the general director of the Local Health Authority of Modena, Anna Maria Petrini. Also present were the director of the Vignola Health District, Federica Casoniand the director of the Single Technical Activities Service of the Local Health Authority, Pasquale Romio.
A presentation that fact seals the handover of the areas intervention by the Local Health Authority to the company that will carry out the works.

The citizens of Vignola will have a single, modern and beautiful structure to access, capable of providing a local response to their various care needs. A reference, therefore, not only for the sick, but also for their families and for the world of volunteering. And yet another confirmation that it is necessary to strengthen our public health system if we want to provide effective feedback to the new needs of communities. We particularly thank the health authority and the municipalities involved in the project, from whose excellent collaboration this reality of true service for the territory and the community will come to life”.
The building will be built on an urbanized lot granted by the Municipality to the Local Health Authority, with the establishment of a surface right for a duration of fifty years, renewable. The lot has a total surface area of 19 thousand square meters. In addition to health services, the hub will also host professionals from the Services of the Terre di Castelli Union e voluntary associations who will collaborate with professionals and interact with citizens who frequent the community house.
The services offered
The community house, like other similar houses already opened in the province of Modena, it will offer essential social and health services such as the blood sampling point, the community nursing clinic and clinics for specialist visits. There will be a whole maternal-infant area with dedicated services: the Counseling Centre, the Youth Space, the Center for Families of the Terre di Castelli Union, the Community Paediatrics, the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry clinics. The Center will work in close synergy with general practitioners and paediatricians of free choice in the area.
The community hospital (Osco) will be equipped with 15 beds to welcome people who, for a limited period of time, need care that is difficult to manage at home or have illnesses that require periodic checks and particular therapies. People suffering from chronic pathologies who suddenly have an exacerbation, for which however hospitalization in larger hospitals is not necessary, or patients discharged from hospital who require a period of continuous nursing care or rehabilitation support, can be admitted to Oscos. -educational before being able to go home. As well as patients who need assistance in administering medications or managing devices and devices.
The Osco di Vignola will join the other community hospitals already present in the province (Castelfranco, Food e Novi di Modena) and those that will open in the next few years, a Baggiovarafraction of Modena, ea Maranellofor the District of Sassuolo (both with activation expected at the end of 2025).

The socio-health center, strongly supported by the Territorial Socio-Health Conference, will be a point of reference for citizens not only for local health services but also for social and parenting support services, thanks to an excellent synergy with the Municipality. The Vignola socio-health center is another important piece in the development of local healthcare that we are carrying out throughout the province of Modena with new structures that will open in the coming years”.
“The new socio-health center is a fundamental work for all the citizens of the Vignola District (which includes the eight Municipalities of the Union and the Municipality of Montese) – underlines the mayor of Vignola and president of the Terre di Castelli Union, Emilia Muratori -. In addition to the implementation of new services, it will promote the usability of those already present in the area located in more suitable spaces. The new center will be built on the land purchased by the Municipality of Vignola for a cost of approximately 380 thousand euros, an area that will also be able to host the new headquarters of the residential home for the elderly and the day center to replace the current structures which are now somewhat dated. The area was granted surface rights for a period of 50 years, renewable. The nine municipalities of the health district will bear the costs and implementation of the urbanization works necessary for the entire sector.
