Next few days with Tyrrhenian cyclone and strong bad weather

In the grip of the Tyrrhenian Cyclone. The meteorological scenario of our country will be affected in the next few days by the presence of a depression vortex, positioned near the Tyrrhenian Sea and destined to cause widespread and abundant rainfall, as well as heavy snowfall in the mountains. In short, it will be a week of passion from a meteorological point of view.

After Monday 26 February which will be characterized by a marked worsening of the weather in the North and in a good part of the Centre, especially starting from the afternoon hours, between Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 February a cyclone, coming from France, will quickly arrive near Sardinia , and then head towards the South-East. Along its path it will distribute a significant amount of rain, initially especially in the Centre-North, where we also expect strong thunderstorms.
And it doesn’t end here: the snow, even if at increasingly higher altitudes, will fall abundantly on the Alps and on the highest peaks of the Apennines.

From Thursday 29 February the center of the cyclonic vortex will move even further south, positioning itself off the southern coast of Sicily. It will be the turn of the central Adriatic regions and the South to suffer the greatest effects of the cyclone, while in the North and along the Tyrrhenian coasts the bad weather will have a more irregular pattern, allowing for some dry breaks and some local clearings.
Even in the following days and for most of the next weekend, Italy will remain under the influence of a persistent cyclonic circulation, which will maintain a rather unstable weather context.

On the thermal front, there will be no major shocks, except for physiological decreases due to precipitation. So, nothing cold. On the contrary. Of note is the significant increase in maximum values between Monday and Tuesday in the South, with peaks of almost 20°C.
