“No cycle has to be painful” or “no more bad mood before your period”. Promises like these probably make many women sit up and take notice. How is that supposed to work? With the right diet.

Cycle food is trending, at least on social media. It is said that if you eat according to your cycle, you can relieve PMS and pain: Immediately before your period, linseeds and cashews are said to improve your mood. During bleeding, beetroot and parsley are recommended for iron balance. But is there any scientific evidence for this?
