Osteoarthritis can put an enormous strain on everyday life. Those affected suffer from swollen joints, severe pain and restricted movement. A change in lifestyle should cure the symptoms, promises nutrition expert Wolfgang Feil – and gives tips for the perfect strategy.

Medical progress knows no limits. For decades, our knowledge of cartilage’s ability to regenerate seemed limited and nothing seemed to indicate possible restoration. But the latest scientific studies invalidate this assumption. They prove that our cartilage tissue is actually able to regenerate.

The key to this are macrophages – cells of our immune system that are located in the inner joint membrane. In osteoarthritis, these macrophages are in the pro-inflammatory M1 or healing M2 state (see figure).

Macrophages: switch between destruction and healing

Imagine macrophages like small switches that, depending on the condition, either trigger inflammation and thus break down cartilage (M1) or send out inflammation-reducing, pain-reducing messenger substances that promote the proliferation of cartilage cells and thus cartilage formation (M2). The activation of the M2 macrophages is therefore a key aspect in the fight against osteoarthritis. Through my strategy, which I present to you in my new book “Finally Heal Osteoarthritis”, I would like to show you a practical way to actively combat osteoarthritis and get through it The implementation of four building blocks can even heal. For this I have developed the “Dr. Feil Osteoarthritis Strategy”.

“Finally cure osteoarthritis: The revolutionary strategy for cartilage regeneration according to Dr. Feil” by Wolfgang Feil

Component 1: Inflammatory diet

The choice of our diet has a direct impact on our health. An anti-inflammatory diet that is low in carbohydrates and sugar but rich in “smart” fats from olive oil, coconut oil, linseed oil and fatty dairy products will help activate the M2 state of your macrophages and thus contribute to the healing of your osteoarthritis.

You also need foods with high anti-inflammatory capacity – found in spices, herbs, dark chocolate, lettuce, vegetables and berries. To make it easier for you to organize your meals, I have put together a list of the foods that have the greatest inflammation-lowering potential, based on the Frolox value calculated specifically for this purpose (see images). A daily consumption of at least 16,000 Frolox of these foods is the basis for your diet change to overcome your osteoarthritis.

Building block 2: Physical activity

Exercise not only keeps the body alive, but also the healing M2 macrophages. Through regular coordination and strengthening exercises and special exercises for joints affected by osteoarthritis, your body manages to specifically activate the M2 macrophages. This stops cartilage breakdown, initiates cartilage build-up and at the same time relieves pain. In the book you will find a detailed exercise catalog from Tobias Homburg, a renowned physiotherapist for the German national biathlon team.

Building block 3: The power of thoughts

The influence of the mental state on the body is often underestimated. Research in the field of psycho-neuro-immunology shows that positive thoughts and beliefs promote self-healing powers. Messenger substances such as dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin play a central role and help the macrophages switch to the healing M2 state.

Building block 4: Nutrients for support

In addition to the previous building blocks, your body needs certain nutrients to support the effective M2 macrophages and promote cartilage development. These include, for example, trace elements such as boron, zinc, selenium and copper, the amino acid methionine, rose hip powder, field horsetail, nettle, frankincense, glucosamine, chondroitin, collagen hydrolyzate and vitamins C and E.

Your path to healing from osteoarthritis

The combined use of all four of these building blocks paves the way to healing osteoarthritis. In addition to detailed information about the building blocks and exercises, my book “Finally Heal Osteoarthritis” offers you numerous case studies that were documented using MRI and which demonstrably prove the success of my strategy for cartilage regeneration and healing of osteoarthritis. The latest scientific studies as well as numerous doctors and scientists also confirm the effectiveness of my strategy. I invite you to embark on a journey to an osteoarthritis-free life.

Further information can be found in the book “Finally Healing Osteoarthritis”, published on January 4, 2024 by GU Verlag.
