Hospitals of San Donato Group to Offer Free Bariatric Surgery Consultations on World Obesity Day
In an effort to raise awareness about obesity and its effects on the population, the hospitals of the San Donato Group are offering free bariatric surgery consultations and dietary consultations on World Obesity Day. This initiative comes as obesity affects approximately 11% of the adult population in Italy, totaling to about 6 million people.
The San Pietro Polyclinic of Ponte San Pietro and the San Marco Polyclinic of Zingonia will be hosting the free consultations on Monday, March 4th. From 9.30 to 12.00 at the San Pietro Polyclinic, a surgeon and dietician will be available in the lobby for information on the surgical bariatric path. Patients who qualify for bariatric surgery will have the opportunity to receive free visits until 3pm.
In the afternoon, from 2pm to 6pm, the Convention Center of the San Marco Polyclinic will also offer free consultations with a surgeon and dietician for the bariatric surgery process. Those interested can find more information on the hospital group’s website at www.grupposandonato.it.
This initiative aims to educate citizens about obesity and provide them with the necessary resources to address and treat this disease in specialized centers. By offering free consultations, the San Donato Group hopes to encourage individuals to take steps towards better health and well-being.
