Sony unveiled its new open world adventure “Tchia” at the “PlayStation Showcase 2021” conference today (10). The game is expected to be available on PS5, PS4, Epic Games and other platforms in 2022.
“Tchia” is a sandbox adventure open-world action game. The background of the game is based on the ancient Lapita aboriginal culture in New Caledonia, a French overseas territory. It describes a tropical village girl named Tchia. Can freely control the wonderful power of animals, and then produce a variety of interaction and puzzle gameplay.
According to the promotional video, Tchia was able to explore the vast islands freely, exploring sandbars, cities, jungles and oceans. At the same time, the elder asked her to look for a man named “Meavora” who was said to have evil power hidden in his heart.
“Tchia” was first announced in 2020. It was originally expected to be on the Steam and Google Stadia cloud gaming platforms, but it seems that the cooperation has shifted to exclusive agreements with PlayStation and Epic Games.
Unfortunetely our partnership with Stadia didn’t work out. We had to adapt quickly and Tchia found a home on PS and EGS. This enables us to keep working on the game and make it the best it can be. ❤️
