In a remarkable breakthrough in medical research, studies have shown that natural nitrate-reducing oral bacteria may play a key role in regulating high blood pressure. These bacteria promote the production of nitric oxide, a crucial signaling molecule that dilates blood vessels and thus helps lower blood pressure. Nitric oxide also prevents atherosclerosis and type 2 diabetes and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Building on this discovery, an innovative Tübingen company has developed OraLactin, a groundbreaking toothpaste. In addition to fluoride and liquid enamel, this toothpaste contains both pre- and postbiotics that are specifically aimed at boosting health-promoting oral bacteria. This development not only promises improved oral health, but could also make a significant contribution to the natural treatment of high blood pressure. OraLactin could thus mark an important step towards the integration of dental care and general health care. The company plans further developments and studies to further expand the effectiveness and health benefits of OraLactin.
