There are more and more pediatricians in Germany. Nevertheless, parents sit in overcrowded practices or don’t even get an appointment. How can that be?

For example, the mother in room 2. Her son hit his head in the morning. Nosebleeds. No vomiting. No dizziness. It’s all ok. Florian Flüß hangs the stethoscope across his neck, sits down at the desk, starts a new file: name, address, date of birth, profession. “Kita child,” types Flüß. The mother takes a breath.
“So… the telephone situation in your practice – will it stay that way? I tried to get through for almost half an hour…”
“Thats still alright …”
“That’s hard.”
“I could set up a waiting queue and you’ll start at number 400.”
