Pfizer files request for third dose for all adults to FDA - Healthcare

Pfizer has filed a request with the Food and Drug Administration to expand the third dose of its Covid vaccine to all adults aged 18 and over. Pfizer and BionTech announce this in a note.

“Pfizer and BionTech have submitted the request for emergency authorization of the vaccine booster for Covid-19 to all individuals aged 18 and over”, reads a note in which it is specified that the request is based on the results of a study conducted on more than 10,000 participants during a time frame in which the Delta variant was the predominant one. The average age of the test participants was 53, with 55.5% aged between 16 and 55. “Multiple analyzes have shown consistent efficacy regardless of age, gender and ethnicity.”
