INPS: Request for “Psychologist Bonus” now available with support of up to 1500 euros
Starting from Monday 18 March until 31 May 2024, citizens can now request the “psychologist bonus” from the National Social Security Institute (INPS), a support that can reach up to 1500 euros. The announcement was made in a circular (34 of 15 February) published by the institution.
The “Psychologist Bonus” was introduced by the Milleproroghe 2022 decree to support expenses related to psychotherapy sessions for individuals experiencing increased depression, anxiety, stress, and psychological fragility during the pandemic and economic crisis. The 2023 Budget Law made the bonus structural, with the maximum amount raised to 1,500 euros per person, totaling 5 million euros for 2023 and 8 million euros annually from 2024.
To apply for the benefit, individuals must submit their request electronically through the “Contribution to psychotherapy sessions” service on the INPS website using SPID level 2 or higher, Electronic Identity Card (CIE) 3.0, or National Services Card (CNS). Alternatively, applicants can contact the Integrated Contact Center via the toll-free number 803.164 or 06 164.164.
The amount of the contribution is based on the applicant’s ISEE, with a maximum of 1,500 euros per person. The benefit is modulated based on the ISEE value, with amounts ranging from 500 to 1500 euros.
Once the application period has ended, rankings will be created by Region and Autonomous Province of residence, considering the lowest ISEE value and the chronological order of application submission. The final rankings will be communicated on the INPS website.
