Today at the Ubisoft Forward launch event, Ubisoft announced that the next main line of the “Rainbow Six” series “Rainbow Six: Evacuation from the Forbidden Zone” will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, September 16, 2021. PlayStation®4 and Windows PC (Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Store) platforms are available for sale, and provide a complete cross-platform play, cross-platform archive and cross-platform progress mechanism.
“Rainbow Six: Evacuation from the restricted area”, previously named “Rainbow Six: Exclusion Zone”, was led by an experienced team from Ubisoft’s Montreal studio*. “Rainbow Six: Evacuation from the Forbidden Zone” inspired by the long-term accumulated resources of the “Rainbow Six” cooperative shooting game is a brand new tactical cooperative PvE game that unites operators to fight against mysterious threats.
Three years ago, in the quaint “Truss-Conciquinz” town, a meteorite fell on a New Mexico community and released an unknown parasite. A small number of special service operators from “Rainbow Six: Siege” teamed up, seemingly to contain the initial outbreak – until the chimera parasite reappeared in multiple locations across the United States, and it was more deadly than ever. In order to deal with this threat, the “Rainbow Alien Biology Analysis and Containment Team (REACT)” was established. This is a highly professional and fully equipped team composed of “Ash” Eliza. In “Evacuation of the Forbidden Zone”, players will join the REACT team and organize a 1-3 person team composed of well-known and beloved “Rainbow Six: Siege” operators to fight against the so-called “Archæans” Mysterious alien creatures. After completing each goal, players must make a difficult choice: evacuate and receive their rewards, or continue to seek chaotic and exciting experiences and face stronger enemies and get better rewards. This gamble may mean that they have to temporarily lose the missing (MIA) operator in the enclosed area. To rescue the missing operators, players must form a team to venture into rescue missions.
Players are selected from the 18 “Rainbow Six” operators. Each operator has special REACT equipment, weapons, and the ability to learn and specialize, which greatly improves the game’s replayability and immersion. The uniqueness and different gameplay of each operator gives players unlimited choices when organizing teams. How to organize a comprehensive and balanced REACT team will be the key to mission success. Advancing into the unpredictable containment area with a well-thought-out configuration will help gather the intelligence needed to stop alien threats.
The fenced areas set up in four regions of the United States are not only full of aggressive and predominant parasites, but also create an ever-evolving and unstable ecosystem. With a series of 12 uniquely designed maps, it brings various challenges, intrusions, and enemies that will increase in number with difficulty, creating various dangers that continue to change. As players move deeper into each map, although they can get richer rewards, their teams will face greater risks.
