Scholarship for recent graduates in Medicine and Surgery awarded by the Bat Rotary Club and the University of Foggia

A scholarship for a graduate in Medicine and Surgery at the Bat University Campus of the University of Foggia.

This is the initiative promoted by the Rotary Clubs Andria Castelli Svevi, Barletta and Trani on the initiative of Giuseppe Guglielmi, Assistant to the Governor of District 2120 Gianvito Giannelli.

The Presidents of the three “godfather” clubs of the initiative (in order: Francesca Caterino, Vito Colucci and Pasquale Vilella) enthusiastically joined the project, which is fully part of one of the programmatic themes launched by the International President of Rotary , the Indian Shekhar Mehta, and the Governor Gianvito Giannelli, that is to say the collaboration with the Institutions, Universities and other research centers.

The project was presented by prof. Giuseppe Guglielmi, Full Professor of Radiodiagnostics at the University of Foggia, during an “interclub” meeting held in Barletta, the presidents and numerous members of the three clubs were present.

The Assistant Governor specified that “the Award is aimed at promoting and strengthening the ties between the Rotary Clubs of Bat and the University of Foggia”, and stressed the attention that the University of the capital dauno reserves from time to the territory of the sixth province. “The hospital of Barletta – explained Giuseppe Guglielmi – already hosts the three-year degree courses of the health professions in Nursing and Radiology, but soon a new degree course in Medicine and Surgery could also be launched: the top management of the University dauna are working to provide students in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani with effective answers and quality solutions to the training request ».

The Rotary award will be given to a recent graduate who is resident in one of the Municipalities of the Sixth Province by a Commission which will include, in addition to the Presidents of the three Rotary Clubs, a professor from the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Foggia .
