Province of Parma Plans the Construction of New Gym for High Schools
The Province of Parma is taking steps to address the need for more spaces for physical activity in high schools, particularly in the Via Toscana campus. A preliminary study has been initiated to understand the location, sizing, and costs involved in constructing a new gym in via Lazio.
An engineering firm from Parma has been entrusted with the task of drafting the technical-economic feasibility project for the gym construction, with an estimated expenditure of 3.5 million euros. This new facility aims to provide students with additional space for physical activity, making up for the current lack of available space.
The technical-economic feasibility project, once approved by the provincial administration, will pave the way for the planning and construction of the new gym. If there is sufficient financial coverage, the School Building service will proceed with the subsequent phases of the project.
Meanwhile, in via Toscana, the Province has already contracted the construction works for a new Itis headquarters, set to be ready by September 2025. The Municipality of Parma has also announced the completion of redevelopment works at the Agazzi nursery school in Baganzola, ensuring its safety and efficiency.
The construction of the new gym and the renovation of school buildings reflect the Province’s commitment to providing students with modern and safe facilities for their education and well-being.
