Federcanotggio also relaunches its social commitment for 2024. In the conference room of the federation building in Rome, the activities introduced for 2024 by the Social Rowing area of ​​the Italian Rowing Federation were illustrated. Among the many initiatives, which affect the various territories, the identification of Hubs in which to develop the service relating to the “Integrated Sports Therapy” project in favor of people who have had oncological breast diseases and the continuation of the “#StudiEremoinFamiglia” and “Rowing in Freedom”, financed by the Department of Sport of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and by Sport and Health. The press conference was opened by the federal president Giuseppe Abbagnale who underlined the importance of the Social Rowing Area within the Federation, “which has always sided with social issues, up until its creation, thanks also to the support of Sport and Salute, of three projects: ‘Sport and Integrated Therapy‘, ‘StudyRemo with the family‘ e ‘Rowing in Freedom‘.

“I am proud and honored to see the Federation alongside these initiatives” explained the president. In addition to the collaboration with Sport and Health, the one with Coop Italia is also of fundamental importance, which involved the president Maura Latini, who underlined how important “the synergy with the Fic is, with the shirt partnership of the women’s team Olympic team fresh from the successes of this weekend in the World Cup in Varese”. The Fic general secretary, Maurizio Leone, also participated in the conference, explaining the organizational details of the National Regatta “Remare in Libertà” scheduled for June 21st in Varese, of the National Student Day relating to the #StudiEremoinFamiglia project which will take place in Pusiano ( Como) and the 2024 edition of “Via le Mani”, the regatta against gender violence which will take place between Mantua and Rome on 13 October.
