Francesco Benazzi Reconfirmed as General Director of Treviso Healthcare System

TREVISO – Francesco Benazzi has been reconfirmed as the head of the Treviso healthcare system for another two years, with the task of overseeing 22 super-primaries nominated to ensure departments are operating at their best and meeting budget objectives. Benazzi addressed the progress made in reducing waiting lists during a meeting organized by the Unitary Committee for Self-employed Pensioners (Cupla), stating that nearly 34,000 requests have been addressed since last May, with the goal of clearing them by July.

Benazzi emphasized the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors, noting that only 15% of hospital discharges are from affiliated private hospitals. He highlighted the significant difference in the number of services provided by the public sector compared to the private sector.

The super-primaries appointed to key departments in the Treviso healthcare system include specialists in internal and general medicine, surgery, emergency rooms, and anesthesia. Additionally, coordinators have been appointed for various functional departments to ensure the smooth operation of the healthcare system.

In the area of family medicine, several new clinics have opened, with additional family doctors expected to join the network soon. The Local Health Authority is committed to ensuring continuity of medical assistance in the local area to protect vulnerable patients.

Overall, Benazzi’s reappointment as general director signals a continued focus on improving healthcare services in Treviso and addressing the healthcare needs of the community.
